AJ Ramirez is a sound engineer, multi-instrumental musician, and producer based in Los Angeles, CA. His relationship with music began as it does with so many, with years of tortured piano lessons as a child. Eventually he picked up the guitar and became active in jazz and rock bands, meanwhile developing skills as a drummer and experimenting in the studio. During a multi-year foray into the world of art and design at an advertising agency, he was active in local bands in Austin, TX as a guitarist and also recording local artists.
He left the US for a Masters in Music Production, Technology and Innovation at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. Since then he has worked as a freelance engineer, produced several artists, headed sound and music for a 6.1 IMAX film, and experimented with audio-visual production. He works for Electronic Creatives as a Production Tech creating music performance rigs for tours and and has helped helped run and design shows for Kid Cudi, Harry Styles, Reggie Watts, Vic Mensa, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Selena Gomez, and more.
