Timo Preece is an audio specialist, electronic musician, instructor, professional trainer, and consultant. He obtained his Ethnomusicology degree at UCLA and has done a number of recordings, projects and live performances with noteworthy individuals both in the U.S. and abroad. After spending time working and performing in Tokyo, he's now based in San Francisco, where he teaches audio at two digital arts schools: Pyramind <http://pyramind.com/staff/instructors.html>  and Ex'pression College <http://www.expression.edu/about_us/individual/timo_preece/> .  For the past 5 years, he has been teaching Ableton Live courses that focus on specialized training ranging from basic software operation to advanced studio and live performance concepts.  In June 2009, Timo became one of the first certified Ableton trainers <http://www.ableton.com/pages/education/certified_training/trainers/timo_preece>  in the U.S.

Currently, Timo has two music projects which both revolve around Ableton Live and advanced controller configurations: Lucid Mechanism <http://www.myspace.com/lucidmechanism> , a stylistically expansive electronic band, and GravityTerminal <http://gravityterminal.com/> , solo electronic music creation and live performance.
